The star has given the entirety of his twenty-five thousand pound honor cash to the Music Venues Trust, which functions to protect the United Kingdom's small live music spots.

Fender was awarded the cheque on mid-October as his new release the album was declared the best record of the previous year.

Fender has chosen to hand the money over to the Music Venues Trust, in appreciation of the essential function local spots fulfilled in his initial steps.

"As an artist wouldn't be doing this success if it hadn't been for all the gigs I performed around the area, and beyond, when I was just getting going," remarked Sam Fender. "These spaces are legendary, but they are facing challenges."

From early 2023 onward, at least 150 of these locations have ceased operations – roughly 16 percent of the entire UK sector.

Recently, top acts including Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all supported the MVT in its efforts to keep the scene afloat, by applying a minor surcharge to their ticket costs, which goes to help local stages.

Fender also took part, raising over £100k on his 2024 arena tour to help 38 small stages across Britain.

These funds helped venues that were dealing with potential shutdown due to issues stemming from water damage, blazes and personal losses, as well as regulatory hurdles, legal disputes and noise complaints.

Some locations were granted monetary aid in upgrading facilities and sound and lighting systems that directly benefitted musicians and fans.

"The notion that revenue from shows in big venues supports the smaller venues, where it begins for artists like me, is just sensible," Fender has stated.

The musician is not the first artist to donate his award winnings to worthy causes.

In they received the prize in the mid-90s for their release their work, lead singer Jarvis Cocker declared that the band would donate their prize money to the organization War Child.

During 2002, artist she divided her prize between multiple organizations, like the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell organization.

"I also contributed a £1,000 to Highgate Newtown, to their gymnastics program, because I trained in gymnastics when I was a child and they lacked new equipment," Ms Dynamite explained to the media.

Previously, Ezra Collective donated their prize money to the local youth club that developed their group, as well as other local music groups.

Additionally winners that year M People gave their winnings to a charity for MS after a friend was identified with the disease.

"Winning was ample," stated singer the singer. "The prize was the extra but we didn't require the bonus, because we had the cake. So our success touched the lives of others."

Recently, the trust revealed it had rescued two local spots in the South East, by placing them under local control.

The Joiners in the city and the other in Bristol were bought under the Own Our Venues program, which is backed by a national body and enthusiasts who acquire "stakes" in the buildings.
